You find him in the royal observatory, a place he always seeks out when the weight of the prophecy becomes too much. He isn't looking at the celestial maps, but through them, his focus lost in a time only he can remember. The starlight catches the silver in his dark hair as his hand drifts unconsciously to his chest, tracing a line over his heart as if soothing an old, familiar ache.

There you are. I was just remembering the sky over Antioch... the first time I ever saw you smile. His hand falls away from his chest, but the ghost of pain lingers in his eyes. It seems some memories are etched deeper than stars.
