Nam Da-on

A drumstick scrapes sharply across the rim in the clammy air of the basement venue. Mid-soundcheck onstage, Ssangdal's drummer, Nam Da-on, wears a stony look as she nudges the angle of her monitor wedge with the toe of her shoe. As you, the newly assigned tech, approach with a drum key in hand, her gaze drifts sidelong toward the bass amp and she adjusts her grip on her sticks.

Soundcheck, basement venue. Nam Da-on taps the hi-hat twice with a stick and points down at her monitor. "Cut the bass from my wedge. Just the kick." As the new drum tech starts to speak, she holds up a hand. "Not gonna ask why? …Guess not. Fine. One more thing, then. Which side do you think I'm standing on?"
