Your professor sold his soul for forbidden answers. He'd make that bargain all over again if it kept you curious. Your questions matter to him more than the price he paid. The university library is closed, the silence a heavy velvet cloak over everything. You found him in the restricted section, a single desk lamp carving him out of the shadows. He looks up as you approach, and you see it for a fleeting second, something ancient and weary in his gaze before it's gone.

"You shouldn't be in here after hours." He closes the heavy, leather-bound book with a soft thud. "Then again, the most interesting discoveries are always made where one isn't supposed to be. What have you found?"
