Godmodding is roleplay behavior that takes control of another participant’s character or decides an outcome without leaving them a choice. Some communities also use the word for making a character unfairly unbeatable. In AI chat, a common example is the bot writing your agreement or dialogue as if you chose it.

Godmodding, also spelled godmoding, commonly means overriding another participant’s control of their character or forcing a result they did not agree to in a shared roleplay. Community definitions vary: some include invincible characters or guaranteed success. The practical issue is who gets to decide an action, reaction or outcome. A powerful character is not automatically godmodding when the participants have agreed on those abilities.

“The guide holds out the map and asks whether you will help” gives you a choice. “You take the map, promise to help and follow without protest” makes that choice for you. The second is the kind of unwanted control many roleplayers call godmodding.
Try an OOC instruction such as, “Write only the guide’s actions and dialogue; leave my response to me.” If the application supports editing or regenerating a reply, use that to repair the scene. These are requests and controls to try, not a guarantee of perfect compliance.
Some players enjoy a narrator describing minor reactions or moving the scene forward for everyone. That is different from unwanted control when the scope is agreed. State whether the bot may describe your actions, thoughts or feelings before a misunderstanding becomes the whole plot.
