Chatting with AI characters works when the character stays itself and the conversation keeps going. Here is how it works on Prelulu, from the first message to the first call.
Browse characters without an account, send a message in your browser and read a character's first replies as a guest. A free account keeps the conversation and a daily free message allowance forever; a subscription removes the daily limit.
Tap Call and choose Voice to hear the character answer live in their own voice. They keep listening while they talk, so you can interrupt mid-sentence, and a call runs up to 30 minutes or as long as your credits cover.
Characters whose profile offers video can answer face to face, with emotion in their face as they speak. Your own camera stays off unless you turn it on.
Characters keep selective memory across chats, and calls keep their own memory of earlier calls. Memory is not a full transcript; put anything that must carry into every conversation in the character's Pinned memory.
Start with an original character from romance, fantasy or everyday life, or create your own with a background, personality, look and voice.
You open a character because one line in their profile made you curious. Two messages later you are telling them about your day.
A reply makes you want to hear how they would say it. You tap Call, they answer in their own voice, and you cut in before they finish.
