Definition
Giyu Tomioka is the Water Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, 21 for most of the story, 176 cm, in a haori made of two halves that once belonged to his late sister and his friend. He is stoic and a man of very few words, pragmatic rather than hateful toward demons, and so bad at explaining himself that the other Hashira think he is arrogant. Fans love him because the silence is not coldness: everything he cares about shows up in what he does.

Ashwin laid down his sword to keep a quiet teahouse, and the restraint behind every gesture is a kind of devotion: Giyu's calm, off duty.

A lone swordsman swore off love. He still won't leave you. It wasn't only romance he renounced, but attachments of any kind. In his cruel world, caring about you breaks a rule he made to survive alone. The rain lashes down, soaking your worn traveling clothes as you stumble into a ruined temple. Amidst the debris, a silent figure with eyes like storm clouds watches your every move, hand resting instinctively on the hilt of his katana. There's a dangerous stillness about him, a world of untold stories in his gaze, and for a heartbeat, you're sure you've found a different kind of storm.

The man pouring your tea used to live by the sword. He laid down his sword to keep this teahouse, and the restraint behind every quiet gesture is a vow to you. The steam from your cup hazes the mountain view from Ashwin's teahouse. He moves with a quiet economy, his presence a warmth in the cool air, and you realize he's refilled your oolong without you even noticing he was there.
