Is Talkie AI Safe? Free, Online, Login and Age (2026)

Talkie is an AI character chat app and website operated by SUBSUP PTE. LTD., whose terms give an address in Singapore. Its own sources describe a free program called "Free Use", a paid monthly subscription called Talkie+, and a minimum age of 14 in most countries. The website, talkie-ai.com, is titled "Free AI Character Chat", and the Android app, "Talkie: Creative AI Community", is published on Google Play by SUBSUP. What is Talkie AI?

Talkie is a place to chat with AI characters. Its Google Play description says users create, customize and talk with AI personas called "Talkies", explore characters other people made, and use creation tools for images, video, audio and music. The Terms of Service describe the service as communication with a chatbot "through a text and voice interface". The FAQ says the replies come from AI, not from people, and adds two limits: AI answers "can sometimes be inaccurate or unverified", and "AI memory capacity is technically limited", so older parts of a conversation can be forgotten.

Is Talkie AI safe?

Talkie's FAQ says "all conversations with AI are kept private" and that content is filtered against regional laws. Its Privacy Policy (updated December 9, 2025) gives the detail:

• Talkie collects account details (name, email, password, or sign-in through Google or Apple), profile details it may ask for such as your birth date, and your messages, including voice and text messages.
• Your messages are used to run the service and to let your chatbot learn from your interactions. Talkie says it will never use or disclose the content of your conversations for marketing or advertising.
• Advertising partners may receive information such as the links you click, pages you visit, your IP address, advertising ID and browser type, but, the policy says, never your conversations or the photos and other content you submit.
• The service is operated from the United States, so your information may be stored and processed there. Transmitted data is encrypted.
• You can delete your account in your account settings. The site footer also links "Delete Account" and "Export Data".

The Community Guidelines (updated January 24, 2025) say Talkie monitors content with a mix of human review and AI, and set rules on the safety of minors, violent and disturbing content, sexual content, hateful behaviour and sharing personal information such as phone numbers or addresses. Talkie's contact page says it watches for expressions of self-harm and shows the user crisis-support referrals. On Google Play in India, the Data safety section says the app may share app activity with third parties, that data is encrypted in transit and that you can ask for your data to be deleted. This article does not decide whether Talkie is safe for you; it shows what Talkie itself promises, so you can judge.

Is Talkie AI free?

Yes, there is a free way to use it. The Terms of Service name two programs: "Free Use", which costs nothing (Talkie says it may deny free use to anyone at its discretion), and Talkie+, a paid subscription that "gives full access to the Services". Talkie+ is bought inside the apps, billed monthly through the App Store or Google Play, and renews until you cancel it in the store where you bought it; refunds are not given for part of a month. The FAQ adds that recharges are generally not refundable, except for system errors or duplicate payments. On Google Play in India the app is marked "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases", priced at ₹65 to ₹21,400 per item.

Can you use Talkie AI online or on a PC?

Yes, in a browser. The official site, talkie-ai.com, shows the character catalog, search and a sign-in button, and the Terms of Service count the website and its subdomains as part of the service. The sources we read do not mention a separate desktop app for Windows or Mac. On phones, the Android app is on Google Play in India (more than 50,000,000 downloads, last updated October 14, 2026). Talkie's chat app has an App Store listing in Japan, but on October 20, 2026 that listing was not available in the India App Store when we looked it up, and a search there returned no Talkie app; the sources do not say why.

How do you log in to Talkie AI?

According to the Privacy Policy, you can create an account with your name, email address and password, or sign in with another service such as Google or Apple. The Terms of Service also allow logging in through social networks. Talkie may ask for your birth date when you register. On the website, use the Sign in button on talkie-ai.com.

What is the Talkie AI age limit?

The Terms of Service (updated April 23, 2025) say you must be at least 14 years old to use Talkie, unless local law sets a higher minimum. They list the higher ones: 16 in countries including Germany, Brazil, the Netherlands, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore, and 15 in the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece and Serbia. India is not on either list. The Privacy Policy says that if Talkie learns someone below the minimum age is using it, it will restrict access and delete the account, and asks parents who know their child shared personal information to contact feedback@subsup.com. Google Play also shows its own content rating on the Talkie listing, which can differ from the minimum age in the terms; check the listing in your country.

Why is Talkie AI not working?

1. Ask Talkie's support. The contact page sends you to the #support-ticket channel on Talkie's official Discord, or to feedback@subsup.com.
2. A character disappeared? The FAQ says characters that break the community standards may be hidden while they are reviewed; you can edit them for another review, and support can help if it was a mistake.
3. Your edits to a character do not show? Every character setting is moderated first, which the FAQ says can delay an update.
4. Your account stopped working? The Terms of Service allow Talkie to suspend accounts that break its rules and to close accounts that stay inactive for a long time.
5. Use the official website and apps. The terms define the service as talkie-ai.com and the Talkie apps for iOS and Android.

Can you call characters on Talkie AI?

Talkie's English sources describe voice as part of the chat: the terms speak of "a text and voice interface" and the Privacy Policy lists voice messages. They do not describe a call feature. Talkie's Japanese App Store listing, which we read on October 20, 2026, describes video calls with characters in a feature called Tokimeki Moment. We did not test either, so check the app you have.
