Camera sharing means sending your camera’s output into a conversation. It is separate from seeing an AI character’s face or seeing your own preview. In a camera-aware AI call, the service may use that input to respond to what you show, subject to its permissions and supported features.

In AI video chat, that can provide visual input for a character to discuss an object or scene you show. A camera preview, permission grant and transmitted stream are different states: seeing yourself on screen does not prove sharing is active, and hiding the preview does not prove sharing has stopped.
