Two of those prices are different kinds of number. Vidu's figure is a developer API rate, and Prelulu's is a consumer app. The cost section below reads them side by side.
What is Vidu S2, and can you video call a character on it?
Yes. Vidu S2 is a real-time avatar video-call model from ShengShu Technology, announced in mid-September 2026. The official press release describes S2-Avatar as "a real-time interactive digital-character model designed for continuous interaction". You give it a character image, talk to it by text or voice, and it answers live on video. It is not a clip generator.
On the Vidu S2 web demo, you can call one of Vidu's preset characters or build your own. After you sign in and verify your account, Vidu says you can "upload your own photo, choose a voice or clone your own voice, and create your character to call." A starting image can be a person, an anime character or a pet. You sign in before a call begins.
The same press release describes what you can do during a call: add a reference image at any point to bring in an object, an outfit or a background, and ask for large movements such as dancing. A second model, S2-Editing, restyles a live camera or video stream, with virtual try-on and background replacement. For developers, Vidu's S2-Avatar documentation describes video or voice-only calls, interrupting the character at any moment, a greeting after a silence, and a built-in long-term memory.
If you searched "vidu ai" for its video generator, that is a separate product line. Vidu's clip-generation models make short clips from a prompt, and the plan cards on Vidu's pricing page describe 3 to 16 second video generation.
What is Vivix AI?
Vivix is a real-time AI character platform for teams, offered today as a developer preview. Its home page calls it "Real-time AI for interactive experiences". The Vivix-A1 page describes characters that "listen, understand, speak, move, and act inside open worlds" and that can "receive new input while speaking, moving, and acting", with voice, text and image input, including images uploaded mid-session. Styles run from photorealistic people to anime, and the listed uses include entertainment, commerce, learning, customer support and companionship.
Access runs through the developer platform. The Vivix pricing page says "Vivix is opening API access to selected teams", with a free Developer Preview trial and custom Enterprise pricing. The terms of service, issued by VIVIXSG PTE. LTD., say the services "are currently free" and that fees may come later with notice. No per-minute price is published.
Does Fizzz have AI video calls?
Fizzz is a romance story app on web, iOS and Android, and its official listing describes video as AI-generated scenes inside the story. The Google Play listing says "Watch emotional moments come to life with AI-generated video scenes" and "Chat with expressive AI characters that remember your journey". You can also design original characters with their own appearance, personality and voice.
Fizzz's App Store version history lists a Video Call mode added in version 1.1.1 on July 30, 2026. In the Fizzz web app, the Video Call entry in a character's mini-phone is marked "Coming soon". If a live call is the reason you are choosing Fizzz, open the app on your own device and look for it.
Chatting spends Gems. Fizzz's subscription terms say "Chats and certain AI actions consume Gems", and the same terms list "Up to 200k Memory" on every plan, including Free. Its About page says characters "can maintain their own personality, long-term memory, relationship context, and story state." On top of that, the web app sells Pinned Memory under the heading "Keep your story consistent", with the note: "Free plan includes 0 memories. Upgrade to Basic for 1 memory and 500 characters."
Two individual reviews on the US App Store page show how single users describe it. A five-star review from September 4, 2026 says: "Even the background changes to reflect the narrative and locations, which probably impressed me the most". A four-star review from August 31, 2026 says: "I like everything in it honestly like the video thing and other stuff but I don’t really like the gem stuff you need to chat but that’s it". Each is one person's review, not a survey.
What is a video call on Prelulu like?
On Prelulu, you video call a character you already know, face to face, and they answer you in real time. How much does an AI video call cost on Vidu S2, Vivix, Fizzz and Prelulu?
Only Vidu publishes a per-minute rate, and it is a developer API rate, not a consumer app price. Vidu's developer pricing says "Credits are available for $0.005 each" and charges 1.5 credits per second for S2 Avatar Real-Time. That comes to $0.45 per minute of real-time avatar, billed to teams building their own products. Vidu's consumer pricing page does not list what an S2 call costs a consumer per minute.
Vivix has no public price: its pricing page offers a free Developer Preview trial and custom Enterprise pricing. Fizzz's US App Store listing shows in-app purchases, including Fizzz+ from $14.99 and 800 Gems for $9.99, and its terms say chats consume Gems. Fizzz does not publish a per-minute call price.
