Is there a time limit on Sesame AI calls?
Yes, according to The Rundown AI: logged-in calls are capped at 30 minutes and can be restarted immediately, and the web Research Preview allows 5-minute calls without logging in (checked August 29, 2026). The Sesame AI pages we read on October 31, 2026 do not state a limit. For comparison, a Prelulu call runs up to 30 minutes, or as long as your credits cover.
Can you video call Maya on Sesame AI?
Not on anything Sesame AI has published that we read. Its guide says "You can call or text Maya, Miles, Simone, and Charlie" and describes each by a personality and a voice; neither the guide, the homepage nor the App Store listing mentions video, a face or an avatar. Sesame AI's next step is hardware: its guide says its glasses are "coming in 2027" and will be made in Japan. If seeing who you talk to is the part you want, that is a different kind of app.
What is Sesame AI built for?
Sesame AI calls its agents "everyday collaborators who help you do more, talk things through, and follow your curiosity." Its App Store listing says an agent can search the web, create notes, set reminders and summarize takeaways, and that memory is continuous across voice and text. Its guide adds that each agent remembers only its own conversations with you, and that the agents are "not designed for romantic roleplay." Prelulu is built for the other side of that line: original characters with a story and a face, made for companionship, romance and roleplay. It does not search the web, take notes or set reminders for you.

- Do you want to be heard, or also seen? A voice call and a face-to-face video call are different things; check which one the app actually offers.
- Is it free, or free for now? A preview that names no price can add one later, so read the current terms.
- How long can one call last? Look for a stated cap and what happens when you reach it.
- What does it remember? Tell it one small detail, come back the next day and see whether it comes up.
- What is it for? An assistant that searches and sets reminders, or a character you come back to for the story.
